Job Description
In this role, you will serve as a key contributor to the Accounting team by maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring payment accuracy, supporting payroll-related processes, and helping drive continuous improvement in accounts payable operations. Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, a customer-service mindset, and a commitment to financial accuracy and compliance.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting month-end close activities.
Success Criteria
• Consistently process vendor invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships by resolving payment and invoice discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Ensure accounts payable records are complete, accurate, and ready for audits.
• Contribute to efficient month-end close processes through accurate reconciliations and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce errors, and enhance workflow efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and payment requests.
• Prepare and process payments through checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.
• Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payment of obligations.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
Qualifications
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial controls.
• Experience processing electronic payments, including ACH and wire transfers.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
