JOB DESCRIPTION
Employee will serve as a Contracts Administrator I for Apex Systems as a member of its legal department. This process-oriented position will require daily interaction with company attorneys, executives, and sales staff in a fast-paced, sales environment. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a team-oriented attitude. Attention to detail is a must, as well as an ability to work confidently under pressure while adapting to rapidly changing legal and business needs. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing and revising commercial contracts, including standard master services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, and other related legal documents
- Editing legal documents to ensure consistency with company policies
- Maintaining accurate database and file records
- Communicating with sales leaders regarding contract provisions
- Drafting compliance notes for the relevant business areas to comply with the terms of client contracts
- Assisting with other special projects as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ years’ of relevant experience in a corporate environment, preferred
- Intermediate skills with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short turnaround times and handle multiple activities, contracts, deadlines, and customers (internal / external) simultaneously
- Highly motivated with ability to work without direct supervision. Initially works under close supervision but as knowledge and skill increases, performs work more independently
- Previous experience reviewing contracts is a plus
- This is a hybrid role based out of Richmond, VA
