| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Safety Intern supports the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) team in promoting a safe and compliant workplace. This role provides hands-on experience in safety programs, regulatory compliance, incident prevention, and employee engagement while gaining practical exposure to real-world safety operations.

| WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Assist in conducting workplace safety inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses

  • Support incident and near-miss investigations, including data collection and corrective action tracking

  • Help maintain EHSS records, logs, permits, and training documentation

  • Participate in the development and updating of safety procedures, work instructions, and signage

  • Assist with safety training coordination, observations, and toolbox talks

  • Support compliance activities related to OSHA and company safety standards

  • Help analyze safety data and prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards

  • Participate in safety committees and improvement initiatives

  • Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned

| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field

  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles (OSHA knowledge a plus)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment

  • Ability to follow safety rules and maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or coursework related to EHSS or manufacturing environments

  • Experience with data analysis or safety management systems

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to walk manufacturing or operational areas and observe work activities

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

  • Combination of office and operational floor work
