Key Responsibilities:
Independently maintain the in-house Calibration and Verification Program, including but not limited to pipettes, liquid handling robots and heads, UV/VIS equipment. Perform all verifications and calibrations in the program ensuring event schedules are met and records are stored in the management system.
Perform ad hoc repair and scheduled maintenance of multiple types of laboratory equipment. This includes hands on troubleshooting and repair (guided and un-guided) on a variety of laboratory instrumentation. Respond and resolve equipment breakdowns quickly and efficiently with guidance.
Responsible for scheduling outside vendors and 3rd party calibration/certification/repair work.
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Training Records; updating and ensuring they are current and accurate at all times
Maintain detailed maintenance, calibration, and verification logs and records per company and relevant regulatory or departmental standards.
Manage equipment throughout its lifecycle, including complex installations, location moves, and final disposition arrangements. Use equipment knowledge to recommend future actions and dispositions.
Ensure there is continuous coverage of the scientific equipment in case of breakdowns.
Pro-actively identify, and support implementation of continuous improvement projects for profitability, quality and efficient ways of working.
Support 5S on site and contribute to operational excellence projects where applicable.

Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in a STEM field
2-3+ years of experience operating and/or servicing laboratory equipment
OR
Associate degree in a STEM field
4-5+ years of experience operating and/or servicing laboratory equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of demonstrated knowledge of basic laboratory practices.
Degree in life sciences or appropriate lab certifications.
Previous work experience under a quality management system.
An ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the organization. An ability to manage multiple demands while meeting deadlines.
Customer-focused philosophy and approach.
Detail-oriented to ensure tasks are carried out with high degree of accuracy and precision by self and others. Excellent record keeping skills
Ability to do troubleshooting and repair of laboratory equipment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both within the company and with external vendors.
Experience using equipment management software a plus.
Physical Requirements & Expectations:
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Compensation Range:
The base salary for this full-time position is $73,000.00 - $78,000.00. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company.
