BAE Systems is seeking an Operations Quality Engineering Technologist to assist in support of Combat Mission Systems operations at the Red River Army Depot. In this role as an Operations Quality Engineering Tech, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems in a fast paced, LEAN production heavy vehicle manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout a variety of processes during the Teardown phase on the Bradley A4 vehicle platform.
In this position, you will interact with Red River Army Depot personnel as well BAE employees from other locations to ensure that vehicles are maintaining compliance to contractual requirements and all incoming conditions are being properly documented. In cases where defects do occur, you will engage to research, document, contain and help resolve the problem through numerous methods available to you, while ensuring effective communication of any needs and status across locations to counterpart support teams.
Note: This position will support on a 4/10 schedule structure.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with (2) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent.
- Typically requires a mechanically-oriented individual with experience interpreting drawings, standards and specifications, as well as procedures and work instruction documentation.
- Requires working knowledge of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals.
- Strong background in problem-solving techniques and analysis.
- Proficiency in standard and industry-related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to effectively package details and data collected from Production and its associated datasets and communicate through verbal and electronic means to broader working teams in support of defining approved courses of action.
- ASQ or similarly-accredited Quality certification.
- Experience working in a production program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD.
- Formal training in Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically complex product environment.
- Experience in fabrication principles and identifying discrepancies in weld or base material criteria.
- Experience in paint process in a manufacturing setting.
- Qualification or strong background in ISO 9001:2015.
- Experience interacting with DoD customer personnel.
- Experience working with KPIs.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $61830 - $105120

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
