About the Role
This accountant position supports the corporate revenue accounting area of Wellington Management Company, LLP’s Finance department. The revenue accounting team is responsible for all client revenue including estimation, accounting, and collections. The accountant is responsible for revenue accounting duties related to the monthly accounting close for Wellington’s legal entities. This position will also support the onboarding of clients by setting up all pertinent fee information on the revenue system to be used for estimation, invoicing, and reporting. This individual will work closely with various groups across Finance, including the Treasury team, Global Accounting team, Incentive Compensation team, Tax team and Revenue Reporting and Analysis teams.
Specific Responsibilities may include:
- Calculate and account for management fees (base and performance fees)
- Monthly accounting close including revenue accrual, cash collection, and reconciliations
- Accounting for complex performance fees and Hedge Fund activity
- Maintaining client profiles and fee schedule information
- Financial statement preparation and analysis
- Revenue budgeting and forecasting
- Cash application as it relates to management fees
- Assisting with the identification and implementation of system and process enhancements
- Writing and reviewing revenue accounting related policies and procedures
- Preparation of revenue-related deliverables, including tax reporting, audit, and regulatory requests
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Analytical aptitude with strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is required and a familiarity with Tableau and Microsoft Access is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly self-motived and ability to multi-task

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 65,000 - 150,000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
