Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Director of Consolidation Accounting, tasked with the role of overseeing the accurate and timely preparation of the Company's consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP standards. This pivotal position involves coordinating, preparing, and analyzing the financial data reported in the Annual Report as well as SEC filings, including the 10-Q and 10-K. The successful candidate will conduct thorough analyses of the consolidated Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and accompanying Financial Footnote disclosures. The ideal candidate will engage with all global subsidiaries and headquarters teams to gain insights into the company's performance, thereby enhancing their business acumen for future opportunities.

Reporting directly to the Director of Consolidation Accounting, this role is integral to our financial management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly financial close process by preparing and reviewing consolidation journal entries, including post-closing adjustments for various business divisions and legal entities.

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of financial statement accounts, providing insightful commentary on absolute figures and variances to support the accuracy of the consolidated Income Statement and Balance Sheet, ensuring strict adherence to US GAAP.

  • Develop and assemble quarterly consolidated Balance Sheet and Income Statement review packages for presentation to Senior Management, highlighting critical financial insights and trends.

  • Undertake the preparation and review of supplementary analyses and disclosures related to the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow statement, and other financial documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with both domestic and international subsidiaries to advise on accounting treatments for non-routine transactions, facilitating a seamless integration of financial practices across the organization.

  • Partner with various Divisional Finance Teams to ensure accurate analysis and presentation of financial results, alongside comprehensive variance commentary.

  • Represent the Consolidation Accounting team in key acquisition, divestiture, and collaboration projects, ensuring appropriate accounting methodologies are applied.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiencies in financial reporting processes.

  • Maintain compliance with established Finance policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley (S404) requirements.

This position also includes the responsibility of managing and mentoring two Senior Analysts, fostering their professional development while strengthening the overall effectiveness of the team.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting


Required Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in an accounting related role, internal audit or Big 4 public accounting

  • Strong technical accounting, analytical and computer skills

  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver high-quality results for specific deadlines

  • Ability to work well independently, as well as a team player, and manage accounting projects

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Understanding of the relationship between income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement

  • Understanding of translation of foreign entities' financial statements to US Dollars, as well as principles of Consolidation Accounting.

  • Solid leadership and managerial skills

  • Highly developed organizational, analytical and communication skills and an ability to collaborate across areas

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • CPA or MBA

  • Working knowledge of Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS) / SmartView

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:

$114,700.00 - $180,500.00
