Job Title: A/V Engineer I
Location: San Francisco, CA 94107 (Hybrid Role)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract Role + Possible Extension
Pay Range: $50/hr to $60/hr

- Innate technical understanding of A/V systems integration - read and understand functional schematics, understanding how devices communicate and work together.
- Experience with construction projects with project managers/architects/general contractors/electrical & low-voltage contractors. Ability to read and understand architectural & construction plans.
- Service-oriented experience and attitude, ability to work with customers and vendors to identify and solve technical problems.
- Work with Staff Systems AV Engineer on new office builds:
- Assume internal project management responsibilities (scheduling, issue management, owner-furnished equipment procurement, staging & handoff)
- Assist with commissioning of the spaces
- Assist with Vendor management and external resource coordination.
- Help manage and audit online tools
- Develop new and maintain existing documentation of processes owned by the A/V Engineering team
- Tier 3 support escalation:
- Take the lead on troubleshooting issues that are identified but unresolved by the AV Operations team
- Involve and take direction from other team members as required to resolve issues
- Work cross-functionally to ensure cooperation with A/V Operations and Events teams
- 4-5 years of AV integration experience
- Working knowledge of modern video distribution systems
- A deep knowledge base of various AV hardware and applications, specifically: * QSC Q-SYS * Crestron * SSH/CLI communication *
- Intermediate understanding of and experience with networking principles and applications
- A team player who's able to work in a fast-paced environment with technical and non-technical teams to translate company needs into actionable AV implementation
- An individual who strives regularly to learn and improve
- Need engineering support, and troubleshooting assistance (tier 3 escalations, complex issues involving control systems / digital signal processing)
- Some low-voltage construction project management experience (inventory, project schedules, schedule sync meetings, agenda management)
- Need a support liaison between engineering and ops teams
- 2-week sprints, every other day check-in re: progress, to assess workload level, etc.
- Respond to tier 3 support escalations
- Manage administration of office build projects, vendor management sync meetings, and progress updates in Jira
- Performance measured by successful completion of tasks
- Work most closely with A/V engineering teams
- Industry leaders in internal A/V engineering, foundational systems set-up
- Room to innovate/see their ideas come to life
- 4-5 years of AV integration experience
- Crestron Programming/video
- Q-SYS certification
- Dante certification
- Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of networking
