Job Summary

The Biotechnician will be an integral member on our bioconjugation team that develops and manufactures magnetic beads and antibody reagents. The Biotechnician will reports to magnetic beads production team supervisor.
This position will be responsible for performing all essential functions related to FGI antibody processing, including verifying specifications, buffer preparation, dispensing antibody solutions, labeling magnetic beads, and protein/iron quantification assays if necessary.
Essential Functions

- Follow SOPs and complete batch records
- Primary responsibility is to formulate, dispensing, labeling magnetic beads and assembling kits into Finished Goods.
- Other tasks include preparation of buffers, centrifugation, protein/iron quantification assays, spectroscopy and Dynamic Light Scattering for protein and beads measurements.
- Assist scientists or associates in other laboratory activities as needed
- Clean and maintain work area, all lab equipment and supplies, and cleaning glassware
- Adhere to correct procedures, policies and health/safety guidelines
- May perform data entry and production documentation completion tasks
- Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience
- High school diploma with minimum 2 years of lab experience in related life science field or manufacturing environment
OR
- Associate degree in chemistry, life science, material science or related area
Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience
- Ability to comprehend and perform math calculations to determine concentrations of buffers and proteins
- Must be detail-oriented, organized and work well in groups setting
- Familiar with basic lab equipment such as centrifuge, stir plates, vortexer, and pipets.
- Knowledge of lab safety protocols

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $21-23/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
