Position Summary
The Manager, Construction Lending will interact daily with Construction Lending Department staff including, but not limited to, Processors, Construction Coaches, Certified Loan Officers, and Loan Officer Assistants. Assist in the enforcement of RMS Construction procedures, conduct Construction Lending training for Loan Officers, Operations staff and Underwriters, and make recommendations for improvements to workflow of the Construction Lending Department related to the processing, collateral, transactional loan structure and closing procedures and practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Working knowledge of Conforming & Jumbo Conventional and FHA (203k) Loan Products, construction lending and UW Guidelines
• Prior management, training, teaching and mentoring experience
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, customer-focused environment
• Able to handle multiple priorities at one time, meet tight deadlines and monitor risk
• Excellent organizational, telephone, and computer skills
• Knowledge of real estate and regulatory compliance regulations

• Manage overall Construction department
• Interact with the Construction Coaches relative to project approvals and Builder acceptance
• Coordinate project status and pipeline
• Review all initial transactions with certified LO’s prior to submission of the file to operations for processing, underwriting, and project approval
• Monitor and manage the timely completion of Construction loan projects
• Initiate contact with Borrower and Builder on poor performing/stalled progress construction loans, identify probable cause and suggest/coordinate a resolution
• Accompany Certified Loan Officers on sales calls to Builders, Remodelers, and Real Estate agents to assist in explaining new Construction or Renovation loan programs or products
• Assist in the development of marketing materials and marketing strategies for Construction Loan products/programs
• Evaluation and election of third-party vendors providing Construction loan services (settlement agents, property inspection networks, etc.)
• Assist with the recruitment of Loan Officers with documented experience, knowledge and track record in origination of Construction loans
• Other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required in business management, business administration, accounting or finance required or equivalent work experience.

Minimum five years experience in residential construction lending and construction project management preferred.

Target Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00
Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.
