Hourly Rate is $25 to $30 per hour with a 10% shift differential. The hours for the ESH position are Monday through Friday 2pm to 10pm with flexibility to accommodate any potential candidate shortages.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary goal of this role is to support daily Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) issues and compliance within AZEK operations and facilities. The focus will be on supporting AZEK Operations' ESH initiatives as directed.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work under the ESH Manager’s direction to inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with AZEK safety standards and government regulations (e.g., site ESH self-assessments, JSAs).
- Conduct daily floor observations to identify and address workplace hazards promptly.
- Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Assist in updating and reviewing AZEK ESH policies, processes, and procedures as directed.
- Provide guidance to leaders and team members on the proper application of site ESH procedures and safety expectations.
- Collect and analyze environmental, safety, and health data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Demonstrate and promote the proper use of safety equipment and best practices across the site.
- Facilitate the implementation of AZEK’s ESH programs and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Serve as the primary contact for New Hire and Contractor Orientation training, ensuring consistent communication of ESH standards.
- Act as the liaison with ESH vendors during on-site activities, including restocking, sample collection, and inspections.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, recommending control measures to eliminate or mitigate hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance for internal and external audits.
- Track and monitor corrective actions to completion from audits, incidents, inspections, and BBSO submittals.
- Lead the site safety steering committee, coordinating related activities and promoting safety engagement.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the ESH Manager.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to understand, follow, and analyze AZEK organizational policies, government regulations, rules, and standards.
- Regular exercise of independent judgment and initiative within established procedures and policies.
- Some specialized or topic-specific training/coursework with broad knowledge of several ESH-focused areas.
- Ability to track, trend, and analyze data.
- Ability to deliver oral presentations.
- Strong digital literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
- Four years of related work experience, two of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and a high school level education; or two years of related work experience and an Associate degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
