Position Overview

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance team by analyzing key financial performance metrics and using those insights to assist in the forecasting of future company results. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, modeling, and strategic planning, while contributing to the overall financial health and growth of Texas Roadhouse. We're seeking someone with an analytical mindset and a strong work ethic. This role will share in the following responsibilities including, but not limited to:

Forecasting and Planning

Assisting with forecasting of major P&L categories
Improving the accuracy and functionality of the company forecast model
Supporting the Finance team in preparing for earnings calls (including Q&A preparation)
Assisting with the preparation of various financial presentations
Building basic financial models (e.g. DCF & IRR)
Working with large data sets to answer business questions
Collaborating with departments to understand the financial impact of initiatives
Using data to provide actionable insights for profitability and long-term value

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field)
0-2 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Investment Banking, or a Buy-side / Sell-side Equity Research role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Proficiency in reading and analyzing financial statements
Detail oriented whilst working under tight deadlines

Preferred:

Experience using data warehouse models, Microsoft PowerBI, and Microsoft Dynamics AX
Familiarity with SQL and/or CapIQ
Experience with a multi-unit restaurant or retail company
Pursuing or holding relevant certifications such as CFA or CPA
