Internal Communications Specialist

Position Overview
The Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing internal communication plans, managing content for the intranet, and supporting event planning initiatives to ensure that all employees are informed and involved.

This is a 40 hour/week, long-term freelance opportunity that will ideally last for at least one year. This person must be located in the Cincinnati area and will need to come into the office in Clifton 1-2 times per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging and informative content for the company intranet, ensuring that it is regularly updated and relevant to employees. (75%)
• Writing internal emails, updating social media, writing press releases, helping plan and facilitate events, etc. (25%)
• Measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications roles.
• Strong copywriting and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Experience managing content for intranet or similar digital platforms.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with event planning and execution.
• Experience writing content for emails, press releases, and social media.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
