JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to work on the Portfolio Accounting Technology Team in Client & Portfolio Technology and Operations. This individual will work closely with other technology members, such as developers, business analysts, and QA engineers, to design, develop, test, implement, and support solutions to meet business requirements. This individual will also help design new platform functionality and assist other developers in using the solutions they build. The candidate will play a critical role in the maintenance, enhancement and support of the firm’s portfolio accounting technology, hosted on SS&C Advent Geneva.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the maintenance and support of the firm’s core portfolio accounting platform
· Lead the process to maintain and continuously improve accounting reporting extracts used by portfolio construction and client reporting platforms
· Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise technologies that allow operational workflows to integrate with the accounting platform
· Work with business teams, project managers, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans
· Design, prototype, and code new software components and applications based on functional specifications across the full stack – services, web and mobile clients, infrastructure and back-end
· Coordinate with analyst teams and vendors to execute test plans and provide support during user acceptance testing
· Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance
· Author technical design and support documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
· Demonstrated experience working on maintenance and upgrades for the SS&C Advent Geneva accounting platform
· Demonstrated experience building and enhancing custom reporting from SS&C Advent Geneva using the vendor platform’s proprietary query technologies, including RSL and GSQL
· Demonstrated experience designing, building and maintaining enterprise applications, using standardized development platforms such as Enterprise Java or Python
· Prior experience with managing applications hosted on RHL and/or Linux OS
· Prior experience building and managing database hosted solutions, such as Oracle PLSQL
· Experience developing application with cloud technologies, such as AWS
· Experience with Agile processes and SDLC tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 100,000 - 225,000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
