Multimedia Communications Specialist at City of Chesapeake in Chesapeake, VA

Are you an experienced digital visual communicator, able to bring life to the stories of our City through the camera lens? Tasks to include:

Captures video and audio footage, using a variety of equipment, software, techniques and tools.
Edits video footage, self-captured and stock, together with graphics and other elements, into completed digital products for use online and/or via television.
Develops and creates still and motion graphics for various uses.
Works with departmental and City staff to determine interview topics, conduct interviews, and prepare appropriate visuals for message development.
Creates training and related internal communication videos, including working with staff inside and outside department.
Supports Chesapeake Television studio and remote productions, as needed, by operating cameras, working in control room, and pre- and post-production logistics.
Maintains equipment and troubleshoots problems to determine solutions.
Performs related tasks as necessary such as driving to sites for fieldwork and operating character generator.
Performs other related duties as assigned
