Our agency client is looking for a Proofreader to utilize on an ad-hoc freelance basis.
Location: Remote
Duration: Ongoing
Hours per week: Varying
Rate: $30/hour

This role is:
- Ad-hoc / project-based - you may be called to see if you are available as soon as a day in advance.
- To-be-determined on official start date. The client is looking to have a bench of 2 dedicated freelance Proofreaders who can assist as needed (i.e. when their full-time proofreader is out, there is additional work from their clients, etc).
- Once 2 resources are identified, the client will pay to train you in their PM software, Workamajig (WMJ) so you can hit the ground running when you are needed to work!
The ideal candidate:
- Tried-and-true freelancer who can assist on a moments notice sporadically
- Strong background in copy editing and proofreading, ideally in the quick-turn agency space.
- Tech-savvy. Experience working in Outlook, Teams, and PM software are crucial.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Reviewing and verifying copy before deliverables are sent to their clients
- Review and approve copy for spelling, readability, and grammar, across digital and print deliverables. Deliverables may include blog posts, articles, website copy, direct mail, print collateral, and headline-type content.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
