Job Title: Scrum Master Designation: Project Management
Location: Mph- Client Site, New York, US
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to lead our project management efforts at our client site in New York. The ideal candidate will possess strong Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II knowledge and will be responsible for facilitating agile practices, ensuring effective team collaboration, and driving project success. This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex project environments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Guide and coach teams on Agile principles and practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum methodologies.
- Collaborate with product owners to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.
- Identify and remove impediments that may hinder the team's progress, fostering a productive work environment.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity and quality of deliverables.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and learning within the team.
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of a high-performing team by mentoring team members and promoting collaboration.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II principles and practices.
- Proficiency in facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams in Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex project challenges.
- Experience in managing project timelines, deliverables, and team dynamics effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with additional Agile frameworks such as Kanban or Lean.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
- Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
