Summary
The position is located in the Computer Technology Branch (CTB), Executive Office (EO), Office of Director (OD), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). The CTB is responsible for the NIDDK Enterprise Systems (NES) in support of the NIDDK mission. NIDDK conducts and supports research on many of the most serious diseases affecting public health.
Duties
- Serves as an Information Security Specialist and is responsible for a wide range of complex assignments and projects relative to information systems and security matters.
- Advises management on matters related to security architecture.
- Manages and oversees projects to implement new and/or updated enterprise security architecture or system components.
- Formulates and implements specific security policies and procedures.
- Performs comprehensive and in-depth risk and vulnerability analyses on all systems.
- Works with various internal and external technical experts to run system vulnerability assessments

Qualifications
In order to qualify for a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) GS-2210 position at the GS-14 level, you must have:IT related experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training that demonstrates you possess each of the following four competencies:
