The role:
Join us as our transit coordinator! In this role, you will work with regional transit coordinators (RTC) who oversee the distribution of federal and state transportation funds to public transportations providers. You will also prepare and review reports, conduct analysis, reconcile budgets, support compliance reviews and track and close findings. Apply today!

A day in the life:
Support RTC’s in managing state and federal transportation grant agreements and compliance. Review required reports and process reimbursement requests from grant recipients.
Provide backup coverage for RTCs and assist in providing customer service to public agencies and transportation providers.
Assist in developing and implementing grant funding processes and policies. Track, monitor, and improve processes and outcomes.
Assist RTCs and other staff in researching technical information on state and federally funded transportation programs.
Participate on various internal and external committees on an as needed basis.
Some travel is required. Work may include conflicting requirements and tight deadlines. Some overnights may be required.
Work is performed in a typical office environment 1-2 days a week with hybrid work options available.

The salary range listed is the non-PERS monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible, the salary range will increase by 6.95%.

Minimum qualifications:
Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five (5) years of experience that is related to transportation, transportation program management, state and federal program management, grant management, transportation planning, management, grant management, project management or program planning and analysis.
OR
A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, or a degree related to transportation, planning, management or project management; AND two (2) years’ experience coordinating or administering programs related to transportation, transportation program management, state and federal program management, transportation planning, management, grant management, project management or program planning and analysis.
Special qualifications:
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
