TDS seeks a Fiber Specialist to join our Data Center Solutions team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of Low-Voltage Cabling experience. Candidates must be hands-on and willing to travel. We have openings in Northern Virginia, Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago, Atlanta and Memphis.

Responsibilities

• Install Fiber cable in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Understand and be able to follow fiber trunk pull diagrams.
• Troubleshoot faulty fiber optic cable.
• Be proficient in utilizing various testing methods and equipment such as VFL, Power Meter and OTDR.
• Install and maintain network-related hardware.
• Fiber splicing experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be collaborative team players who are willing to roll up their sleeves and be hands-on while installing cabling and equipment but also possess excellent client-facing, communication, project documentation, organizational, follow-up and Microsoft Office skills - particularly Excel, for the project management aspect of this position.
• Must be able to travel to multiple job sites around the US

• We are looking for an enthusiastic, Fiber Technician who has strong communications skills and an excellent work ethic and desire to learn and grow.

Compensation details: 25-45 Hourly Wage
