Summary
Do you have experience independently operating, maintaining, or repairing utilities systems such as chiller units, steam boilers and other building systems and equipment? If so please consider joining the NIH as a Utility Systems Repairer Operator! In this position you will be responsible for performing a wide range of operations in the monitoring, maintenance, and repair of various NIH utilities systems such as air conditioning, heating, and water distribution.
Duties
As a Utility Systems Repairer-Operator, you will:
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated skill of multiple trades/crafts to perform the full range of senior journeyman tasks.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of utility systems to independently operate utility systems under varying load conditions.
- Monitor operation, and repair of multiple utility systems and associated facilities and building systems and equipment.
- Perform inspections, shift rounds, and preventive maintenance on utility systems and other equipment as required or directed.
- Demonstrate expertise in the use, handling, and maintenance of tools and equipment common to utility systems.
