The Executive Assistant (Private Equity) will provide executive-level administrative support to the leader of McGuireWoods LLP's private equity industry team. This role is crucial in spearheading logistics of client and prospective client appointments, managing and prioritizing action items, and facilitating business development activities, while also offering opportunities for professional growth within the private equity sector.

Responsibilities:- Participate in internal and client and prospect-facing meetings to capture and prioritize action items and to ensure appropriate follow up.
- Conduct research of clients and potential clients as well as potential deal opportunities to prepare meeting preparation packets and prospective client reports.
- Collaborate with the partner on various business development activities, client communications and events.
- Manage and prioritize the partner's scheduling needs with a heavy emphasis on the coordination of logistics for client and prospective client appointments.
- Work closely with the partner and peers in other departments to support billing and matter opening processes and to ensure exceptional client service.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, attorneys, and external contact while demonstrating professional communication skills in person, over the phone, and by email.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of related experience in a law firm, private equity, fund administration, or other professional office environment.
- Experience providing executive-level administrative support or client service.
- Ability to manage multiple inquiries and requests effectively.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in finance, investment banking, private equity or client development
- Knowledge of electronic time entry, billing, and invoice systems.
- Familiarity with 3E billing software.
- Strong math aptitude and knowledge of Excel.
