Full Job Description

Job Summary

This is a part time temporary 6-month Research Associate II position to assist with a wide range of research studies in two different labs at the Kresge Hearing Research Institute. One lab is focused on spatial hearing in people with single-sided deafness, and the other is exploring new ways to diagnose hearing loss in infants. The candidate will be involved in many aspects of the research, including but not limited to recruiting and scheduling subjects, collecting behavioral and electrophysiological data, record keeping, ensuring compliance with regulatory protocols, training other lab members.

Responsibilities*

The candidate will be involved in many aspects of the research, including but not limited to recruiting and scheduling subjects, collecting behavioral and electrophysiological data, record keeping, ensuring compliance with regulatory protocols, training other lab members.

Will work directly with the Principal Investigators (PI) and laboratory personnel [including students (AuD and PhD) and postdocs], as well as clinical audiologists at the University of Michigan for clinically collaborative research projects. Laboratory activities will include supervision of graduate level lab personnel. The research assistant must also be compliant with CITI human subject training.

Required Qualifications*

- Doctor of Audiology degree (Aud)

- CCC-A certification

- Strong organizational and communication skills

Desired Qualifications*

- Experience with patients across the lifespan, from newborn to older adults

- Experience with performing hearing research with human subjects

- Experience with regulations and protocols necessary for hunan subjects work

- Experience with evoked potentials such as the auditory brainstem response

- Experience with cochlear implants

Work Schedule

2 days/16 hours a week.

Background Screening
